Libyan Security Frees 10 Kidnapped Syrians
TRIPOLI, Sept 5 (NNN-IRIN) – Libya has freed 10 kidnapped Syrians, including children, in the region of Riqdalin, some 120 km west of the capital, Libya has been suffering escalating violence and unrest since the fall of the late leader, Muammar Gaddafi's government in 2011. During an operation, Libyan security arrested three individuals with previcriminal records in an abandoned house in Riqdalin, and the suspects kidnapped the Syrians for ransom. The kidnappers have been referred to the public prosecution for legal procedures and trial.
